GP2's calf ailment returns in Warriors' victory against Magic.

"SAN FRANCISCO" After missing a month due to a right calf injury, Gary Payton II returned to action on Tuesday in the Warriors' 121-115 victory over the Orlando Magic at Chase Center.

Unfortunately, he suffered another injury while playing. This time, Payton's left calf was the culprit that kept him out of the action.

It seems like Payton injured himself while defending low beneath the Orlando hoop.

As he made his way inside the locker room, he scowled and removed his headband, tossing it into the onlookers.

"I feel terrible for him more than anything," stated Steve Kerr, coach of the Warriors, following the game. "I empathize with him, but I also feel horrible for us.

Put forth a lot of time and effort to get back here. He has a significant influence on our lives. "I hope he's not out for too long."

Payton had a plus-10 rating, 2 points, and 4 boards before to his injury.

The Warriors were hoping that Payton's return would revitalize their defense, which has struggled mightily this season, so any length of his absence would be devastating.
